Pauline Kay Larson

Pauline Kay Larson, age 82, of Madison, formerly of Chester, passed away in Madison on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at First Lutheran Church in Colton. Interment will be in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2023, at the Minnehaha Funeral Chapel in Colton.

Pauline was born on the Fourth of July 1940 on the family farm near Alden, MN, to Albert and Junetta (Field) Schroeder. At an early age she moved with her family to Lake Preston and graduated from high school in 1958. She married Roger DeBoer and together they had a son, Kyle, in 1971.

In 1980, she married Lowell Larson and together they moved to Chester. Pauline worked as a bookkeeper for a farmer’s market and later for McKennan Hospital. Pauline was a loving wife, mother to her son, Kyle, and grandmother to Nathan.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Lowell Larson; son, Kyle (Heidi) DeBoer of Sioux Falls; grandson, Nathan; sister, Jane Bartels of Flandreau. She was preceded in death by her parents.
