Pamela Kay Ristesund

Pamela (Pam) Ristesund, age 67, of Brandon, died surrounded by her kids on Saturday, October 29 at Avera due to complications from a ruptured brain aneurysm.

An open-house gathering of family & friends to celebrate Pam will be held in her community room at Autmnview I in Brandon on Tuesday, November 1 from 4-7. A memorial service will be held at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Colton on Wednesday, November 2, at 2:00 with refreshments to follow.

Pam was born November 30, 1954 to parents Gerald (Jerry) and Marlene (Carsrud) Bunde. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. She married her first husband, Jerry Jastram, in 1974 and they had 2 children, Carrie and Corey. She married her 2nd husband, Rick, in 1983. Together, they helped run their family business, Dollar Store + More in Mitchell until Rick's death in 2000.

Pam was a natural caretaker and spent her life selflessly taking care of others. She loved to make her grandkids laugh and smile as much as possible, and was proud to call herself "Crazy Grandma Pam."

Pam is survived by her mother, Marlene Bunde, Sioux Falls; her children, Carrie (Trey) Jones, Woodbury MN, and Corey (Jeri) Jastram, Sioux Falls; four grandchildren, Kinsley, Amelia, Kennasyn, and Kellen; six siblings, Mary Roberts, Tulsa, OK, Tom (Kim) Bunde, Pawhuska, OK, Karen Carrico, Sapulpa, OK, Barbara Kelly, Beggs, OK, Mike Bunde, Sioux Falls, Mark (Glory) Bunde, Sioux Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pam is preceded in death by her grandparents, husband Rick Ristesund, father Gerald Bunde, nephew Tracey Bunde, and nephew Dylan Moberg.
