LouWonna Lou Jastram, age 78, of Garretson SD, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Friends and Family are invited to a memorial visitation from 5-7:00pm on February 26, 2026, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson SD. Private family interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Garretson.

LouWonna was born March 30th, 1947 in Sioux Falls, SD, to Joyce Myre. She attended school in Garretson and graduated high school in 1965. She married Marvin Jastram, September 11th 1965. They lived together in Garretson, SD. Together they had four children, Andrew Lee, David Allen, Jeannie JoAnne, and Mark William. She loved raising her children and spending time with them.

LouWonna greatly enjoyed bartending at the fireman street dances when the opportunity arose. Church was a large part of her life. She volunteered at the church as a financial secretary at Zion Lutheran Church from 1985 to 1992.

LouWonna also enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her house was full of laughter and the best snacks. She took every opportunity to attend sports games and concerts showing her love and support. Music was a large part of her life, particularly Elvis Presley.

Through everything, LouWonna loved to crochet. She ensured every family member and friend was kept warm with homemade blankets and houses were clean with brand new wash cloths. Her upstairs, steps, and couches were filled with blankets, she often encouraged visitors to bring some home.

LouWonna is survived by her husband, Marvin; children: David (Jan) Jastram, Jeannie (Thomas) Dubbelde, and Mark Jastram; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Amanda Jastram, Melissa (Matt) Christiansen and their children, Ember and Jaden, Cade Erck, Branden Jastram, Amber (fiancé Blayne Norrik) Dubbelde, Jenna Dubbelde, and Max Jastram. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce; son, Andrew Lee, and many aunts and uncles.
