LeRoy Curtis Anderson, 75, of rural Dell Rapids died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home.
Private family services will be held.
LeRoy Curtis Anderson was born March 30, 1945 in Dell Rapids to parents Alvin and Inez (Jorgenson) Anderson. He grew up near Dell Rapids and attended country school and graduated from Dell Rapids High School. He then attended college at the University of Nebraska. He entered the United States Air Force and served during Vietnam. After his service he returned to South Dakota.
LeRoy married Joyce DeGroot May 24, 1968 in Madison. After their marriage they lived in Sioux Falls. In 1971 they moved to the farm east of Dell Rapids where he farmed with his brother Lauren. He also worked for Spitznagel Architects for many years.
He and Joyce enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, golfing, and road trips with friends. But of all enjoyed being their family.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Joyce, Dell Rapids; son, Chad Anderson and his wife Tania; grandchildren, Malakai, Eddie, and Peter; his brother, Lauren Anderson and his wife Alberta, Dell Rapids and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
