Bernetta Luella Romsdahl

March 3, 1932 — April 15, 2024

Bernetta Luella Daganaar Romsdahl, age 92, of Brandon, formerly of Baltic and Clear Lake, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Baltic Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at approximately 12:45 PM at Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Friday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic.

Bernetta was born to Everett and Linda (Kluckman) Daganaar on March 3, 1932, in Clear Lake, South Dakota. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1950 and began working as a bank teller in Clear Lake. On October 10, 1953, she married Benjamin Romsdahl. Shortly after their son Paul’s birth, they moved to Baltic. Bernetta assisted with the printing of the Baltic Beacon the last several years it was printed locally in Baltic. She later worked as a CNA at Terrace Manor in Dell Rapids for twenty-one years until her retirement in 1997.

Bernetta was a member of Baltic Lutheran Church. She served as the President of the Baltic Lutheran Ladies Aide and was active in Circles.

Bernetta is survived by her daughter, Debra Romsdahl of St. Joseph, MN; son, Paul (Ann) Romsdahl of Brandon, SD; grandchildren: Mercedes Romsdahl of St. Joseph, Erik (Kristie) Romsdahl of Ames, IA, and Dane Romsdahl of Mitchell, SD; six great-grandchildren: Jaida, Janessa, and Jailynn Romsdahl of St Joseph, Izak, Konnor, and Annika Romsdahl of Ames; and her brother, Marvin Daganaar of Omaha, NE.

She is preceded in death by her parents and half-brothers: Constantine Ellis, Donald Ellis, Leonard Ellis, and Sam Ellis.
