With heavy hearts, the family announces that Ariana Joy Schneider, age 33, unexpectedly passed away on September 29th, 2025, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Ariana was born April 18th, 1992, in Fridley, MN. She was a beautiful baby and was truly a precious gift from God. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
In her formative years, her two older brothers, Andrew and Gabriel, entertained Ariana with many adventures. She also loved going to visit her grandparents in north central Wisconsin. She enjoyed being with her friends and was always kind, compassionate and supportive of them. Ariana was involved with various activities, however, spent most of her time dancing competitively at QC Dance and also, on the Blaine High School Dance team. She graduated from Blaine High School, MN in 2010.
She then moved to attend college at South Dakota State University. Ariana graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. She pursued a successful career in finance. Her latest job title was ‘Director of Network Relations’ at Pathward Financial Services. During this time period, she met her husband, Ryan Schneider. They were married on September 25, 2021 and lived in Sioux Falls.
Her passion in life was for her husband, Ryan, and their 15-month-old son, Beckett! She was selfless, positive, loving and dedicated in everything she was involved with. Her positive, upbeat attitude, warm spirit, and beautiful smile were contagious! She was truly a bright light full of love. She had many accomplishments in life, but none more important than her son, Beckett. She truly excelled at being a mother and provided the type of nourishment that cannot be explained in words. Together with her husband and son, they enjoyed spending time outdoors going for walks, fishing, camping, and being a family.
Ariana is survived by her husband - Ryan Schneider, son – Beckett Schneider, parents – Mark & Jenifer Smith, brother – Gabriel, nephew – Aden Smith, grandfather – Edmond Smith, and her in-laws Richard and Mary Schneider, sister-in-law Angela Schneider, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Smith, maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Schumacher and paternal grandmother, Teresa Smith.
A service to celebrate her life will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Embrace Westside Campus, 100 N Ebenezer Ave in Sioux Falls. Interment will follow the luncheon at Rosendal Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sherman. Visitation will be from 4-6:30 PM Wednesday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, 104 E 4th St, Dell Rapids. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Beckett’s daycare, Kinder Academy 5612 W University Trail, Sioux Falls, SD 57107.
