Alvin Dennis Bren

Alvin D. Bren, age 82 of Sioux Falls, SD died Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Dells Nursing and Rehab in Dell Rapids, SD.

Born in Clear Lake, SD and spending most of his life in Sioux Falls, SD, Denny was a beloved father, son, brother, life partner, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. An avid hunter and fisherman for his entire life, he was also a nationally ranked amateur bowler for over 50 years. Denny was a truck driver with Hyman Freightways for nearly 30 years—logging over 6 million safe miles during his career and then post retirement from the trucking industry he served as a team member of Lucky Krusers and Connexions 2 Casinos for over 20 years.

Survived by his beloved “Babe”, Vicki Bowden; daughters Bonita Moffett and Shari Beaudette, siblings Carole Greenwood and Laural LaFavor and former wife, Shirley (McComish) Bren as well as grandchildren, Megan McCullum, Nathan Beaudette, Derek McCullum, Justin McCullum, Nickolas Beaudette and Ashley Beaudette; great grandchildren, Devon McCullum, Tatiana McCullum, Penny McCullum and Dakota McCullum and great-great grandchildren, Scarlett Spillane, Carter Green and Nora Beaudette.

Preceded in death by parents, Ilo and Alvin Bren, siblings Lyndon, Darla and Delvin and son, Michael Dennis.

Interment and memorial to take place on a day of special note as specified by Mr. Bren later this year.
