Aaron L. Gnadt

Aaron L. Gnadt, born January 3rd, 1972, passed away on September 14, 2026, at Banner Health North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. He had two plus years of health struggles, and eventually succumbed to his failing kidneys and liver. His sister, Marissa, was at his side for the last week, and was there to help assure that he didn’t pass alone and in pain.

Aaron was born in Luverne, Minnesota, and lived in Garretson, SD, with his parents until he moved to Sioux Falls, where he attended Augustana College, and worked at the Crow Bar and Farmer’s Market in the Carpet Department to put himself through school. Half of Sioux Falls seemed to know Aaron, and he was recognized and fawned over wherever he went. He graduated from Augustana with a degree in History and Sociology.

After college, Aaron worked with a flooring installer, and when Farmer’s Market closed, he went to work for his father Woody at his new business; Family Floors & Furniture in Brandon. He worked for several years in Brandon, SD, before eventually moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2001 to pursue his dream of opening his own contracting business and get out to the big country and mountains so he could chase big game animals. He installed flooring and tile and did smaller construction work to begin with, and eventually got into the retail side of things as well, so became a full service company. He had just about every certification and license he could get and was very proud of the business he built and the people he employed. A lot of families depended on him and earned their living on the empire he built.

Also while in Colorado, Aaron was blessed with a daughter, Addison, and then later a grandson, Greyson. Addison was by his side through thick and thin, and eventually went on to help at his business doing payroll and billings.

Aaron’s love of the outdoors and hunting was as enormous as his personality, and his house was soon full of mounts of every kind, including a Bison. He spent some of his time guiding Bison hunts for a rancher in the Black Hills, and loved spending time back in his home state. Aaron lived for the thrill of the hunt and got such a rush when someone filled their tag.

With the business in Colorado, Aaron didn’t get to come home as often as he wanted, but when he did, he loved to go fishing and hunting with his father, brother and nephews. Every day was an adventure for Aaron, and he lived each day to the fullest, anyone who knew him could vouch for that. His gigantic personality and big booming laugh will be missed by all.

Aaron was preceded in death by his mother Marcia, in May of 2024 after her long battle with cancer. He had a special bond with his mother and had a very hard time coming to grip with her passing.

Aaron is survived by his daughter Addison, and grandson Greyson, father Arlen “Woody” Gnadt, brother Markell (Julie) Gnadt, sister Marissa (Tim) Wollmann, nephews Bryce Wollmann, Isaiah Gnadt, Jakob Gnadt, and nieces Siri Wollmann, Kaitlin Ode, and Rakell Bonnett, as well as grand-nephews and -nieces Beckett, Beau, Barron, and Lena Ode, and Billie Bonnett.
