Goldie E. Varns, 72, of Sioux Falls died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Lifescapes in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will begin at 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Interment will be in the Hartford Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Tuesday.

Goldie Eileen Varns was born November 19, 1941 at Huntimer, South Dakota to parents Thomas A. and Deede A. (Wilder) Varns. She grew up in the Colton, Crooks Sioux Falls area. Goldie was a client at Achieve during her teen and adult life, where she was also employed.

Grateful for having shared her life are her siblings, Eula Varns, Norman (Dorothy) Varns, and Loretta (Duane) Miller, all of Sioux Falls; a special friend, Maryls Woolheater, Sioux Falls; and many loving nieces and nephews; brothers in law, Vince Miller, Dr. Al Bandura and Dick Lahn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James Varns and Edward Varns, sisters, Virginia Bandura, Erma Lahn, Betty Miller, and Dorothy Welbig.

The family of Goldie would like to thank the staff of Achieve and Lifescapes for the compassionate care they gave Goldie over the years.
