Rhoda Dybvig Schaefer

Rhoda Dybvig Schaefer, 86, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on December 31, 2013. There will be an interment service at 3:00 PM Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Minnehaha Cemetery, Colton.
Rhoda grew up in a family of nine siblings, one of whom, Bob, is her twin. The family lived in Colton, where they operated a nursery. Rhoda graduated from Colton High School, the University of Northern Iowa and the National University of Mexico in Mexico City where she received her Master’s degree in Spanish. Rhoda spent most of her career teaching Spanish in the Las Vegas school system. Rhoda married Lester Schaefer in 1968. They enjoyed a great deal of travel together. Les died in 1999.
Rhoda is survived by brothers Melvin and Robert, sisters Ruth Bliss and Carol Lerdal as well as 20 nieces and nephews.
