Gary Lee Peterson, age 72, of the Buffalo Trading Post/Franklin area, died on Friday, November 29, 2013, at his home. Memorial services will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Gary was born on March 22, 1941, to Harry & Goldie (Kelley) Peterson. He attended school in Franklin and married Rita Jorgensen of Hurley in 1968. Gary farmed and was a mechanic his entire life in the Buffalo Trading Post/Franklin area. He especially enjoyed working on old tractors and gas engines.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Rita, of Madison; son, Randy (Michelle) of Flandreau; and two grandchildren, Alex and Kristi. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barb Van Duyn.
