Dale Allan Cunningham, 69, of Colton passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Sanford USD Medical Center.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at First Lutheran Church, Colton. Burial will be in the Colton Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 PM Monday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton

Dale Allan Cunningham was born April 25, 1944 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to parents John and Evelyn(Alldritt) Cunningham. He grew up near Mina, South Dakota until moving with his family to Faulkton in 1957. He graduated from Faulkton High School in 1962. He then attended Southern State Teachers College.

Dale married Beverly Becker June 27, 1964. They lived in Bryant for six years before moving to Colton in 1972. Dale taught math and coached basketball and football at Tri Valley High School for many years. In the summers he coached baseball in Colton. Dale greatest joy was his daughters and grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared his life are his daughters, Lisa (Sean) Munson, Twin Falls, Idaho; Susan (Brent) Dekker, Sioux Falls; five grandchildren, Dylan and Brandon Munson and Cole, Chase, and Avery Dekker; a brother, Bob Cunningham, Mina, South Dakota and a sister, Karen Hansen, Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Garry and Beverly Cunningham.
