Randy Scott Engebretson

Randall Scott “Randy” Engebretson, 56, of Bakersfield, CA, formerly of Garretson, died on January 20, 2011 in California. Memorial services will begin at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Garretson.


Randy was born on December 3, 1954 to Rudy and Gladys (Stensland) Engebretson. He grew up in Garretson and graduated from Garretson High School. He attended the University of South Dakota and Black Hills State University. He had lived and worked for the past 30 years in Bakersfield. Randy loved music and golf and was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Vikings fan.

Survivors include his five brothers: Alan (Mary) of San Diego, Gordon, Paul (Wini Iverson), Charles (Connie) and Larry (Jackie), all of Garretson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
