VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE

Cheryl Barnes, age 54, of Garretson, formerly of Sioux Falls, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Dougherty House Hospice in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at approximately 2:00 P.M. at the Calvary Cemetery, Mitchell. Memorials may be directed to Make-A-Wish Foundation and the New Animal Adoption Center.

Cheryl Lynn was born on October 9, 1957, at Mitchell, South Dakota, to James and Nealene (Rogan) Barnes. She attended Notre Dame Academy and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1975. She spent 23 years working in the banking industry with various banks including, Mitchell National, First National Bank in Sioux Falls, and First Premier Bank in Sioux Falls.

Cheryl traveled extensively with her mother and especially enjoyed the American Southwest. She was thankful for truly great friends and family, her cats, good books, Red Lobster, and traveling.

Grateful for having shared her life are her aunt, Marlene Mayer of California; cousin, Nancy Wilson of Sioux Falls; and many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
